| Bioremediation
is the biological degrading of contaminants. Petrochemicals and
other hydrocarbons, heavy metals, disease causing pathogens and
PCB’s are all susceptible to bioremediation.
JR
Huyge Associates, LLC specializes in applying existing and new science
in the development and implementation of Remediation Plans for public
and private clients.
JR
Huyge Associates founder John Huyge has been involved in off site
bioremediation since the early 1990’s cleaning fuel contaminated
soils, composting mixed industrial organic wastes and pasteurizing
biomass from agricultural wastes and mortality.
In
2008 John Huyge conducted a “Bench Test” to demonstrate
the effectiveness of using an MBST Biostimulant and MBST Biochar
in an insitu application of Accelerated Bioleaching to remediate
Arsenic from golf course and orchard soils. This test reduced leachable
Arsenic by 45% in 30 days.
Recent
research conducted at Turin University in Italy found a fungus,
and in America, GE Corporate Research and Development has identified
bacteria capable of metabolizing PCB’s, widely considered
immune to biological remediation.

Insitu
remediation is remediation conducted at the site of the contamination.
JR Huyge Associates has developed the machinery and equipment necessary
to inject our proprietary mixture into contaminated soils. The ‘Sandpiper
Injector’ developed by Randy Aalderink delivers the MBST bioremediation
slurry to the point of contamination without removing the soils,
creating a network of injection points for additional biostimulants.
This development enables us to treat contaminated soils insitu virtually
eliminating excavation and trucking/tipping charges.
JR
Huyge Associates is interested in developing bioremediation plans
for public and private clean-up projects. Our project team will
work with your environmental engineering firm; conduct Bench and
Pilot projects focused on insitu remediation.
Experienced
in both publicly and privately funded projects, our Project Teams
work with local, state and federal officials to insure a smooth
and effective clean-up on time and in budget.
